The Patek Philippe Grand Complications Aquanaut Luce “Rainbow” Minute Repeater, Haute Joaillerie, reference 5260/1455R-001, in rose gold set with multicoloured baguette-cut sapphires and baguette-cut diamonds across case, dial and bracelet, on the rose gold bracelet. Self-winding calibre R 27 chiming on two classic gongs; 38.8 mm, 10.7 mm high.
The reference 5260/1455R-001 is, in Patek Philippe's words, the first minute repeater in the Aquanaut collection, made for the Aquanaut Luce line for women and dressed as Haute Joaillerie: the rose gold case, bezel, dial and bracelet are set with baguette-cut diamonds and multicoloured baguette-cut sapphires, the sapphires running through the spectrum that gives the watch its “Rainbow” name, using what Patek Philippe calls the invisible setting technique. The case is 38.8 mm across and 10.7 mm high, humidity- and dust-protected only, with a sapphire crystal back through which the movement and its two gongs can be seen.
The calibre R 27 is the brand's self-winding minute repeater, striking the time on demand on two classic gongs. It is wound by a 22K gold off-centre minirotor, guilloched, and measures 28 mm across and 5.05 mm high, with 327 parts and 39 jewels, a Gyromax® balance and a Spiromax® balance spring at 21,600 semi-oscillations an hour (3 Hz), and a power reserve of 43 to 48 hours under the Patek Philippe Seal. The dial is an 18K gold plate paved with 90 baguette-cut diamonds, with 12 multicoloured baguette sapphire hour markers and a baguette-diamond hour ring; the rose gold baton-style hands are themselves set with baguette sapphires and rubies and a single diamond.

Patek Philippe counts the stones component by component — 90 diamonds on the dial, 40 diamonds and 109 sapphires across the bezel, caseband and slide piece, 650 sapphires on the bracelet — and totals 779 multicoloured sapphires (45.05 cts) and 131 diamonds (8.67 cts). The bracelet carries most of the weight: its sapphires alone are 38.34 cts of the total.
