The Patek Philippe Grand Complications Minute Repeater, Rare Handcrafts, reference 7040/250G-001, in white gold with a Flamme®-set diamond bezel and a hand-guilloched dial under midnight blue flinqué Grand Feu enamel, on a patinated ocean blue alligator strap. Self-winding calibre R 27 PS chiming on two classic gongs, with small seconds; 36 mm, 10.14 mm high.
The reference 7040/250G-001 is Patek Philippe's minute repeater for women, listed under Rare Handcrafts for its dial: a gold plate hand-guilloched with a swirling motif and then covered in translucent midnight blue Grand Feu enamel — the flinqué technique — so that the engraving reads through the colour. The white gold case is 36 mm across, a diameter Patek Philippe calls slightly enlarged, and 10.14 mm high; it is humidity- and dust-protected only and comes with two interchangeable backs, one solid white gold and one sapphire crystal for a view of the movement's finishing. The bezel carries a double row of diamonds in the Flamme® setting.
The calibre R 27 PS is the self-winding minute repeater with small seconds: two classic gongs are struck on demand, and the movement is wound by a 22K gold off-centre guilloched minirotor. It measures 28 mm across and 5.05 mm high with 327 parts and 39 jewels, runs at 21,600 semi-oscillations an hour (3 Hz) on a Gyromax® balance with a Spiromax® balance spring, and holds 43 to 48 hours of power reserve under the Patek Philippe Seal. The dial's hour markers are transfer-printed in white-gilt powder on the 18K gold plate, and the faceted spear-shaped hands are white gold.

The Flamme® setting on the bezel is counted at 168 brilliant-cut diamonds for 0.82 ct — small stones in a double row — with 26 more (0.19 ct) on the prong buckle, 194 diamonds and 1.01 cts in all. Patek Philippe frames the reference as Haute Horlogerie meeting Rare Handcrafts: the enamel is the handcraft, the repeater the horology.
