A diamond-set falcon in a baguette-set white gold case
The RM 57-02 replaces the dragon of the RM 57-01 with a falcon. This is the white gold execution: the case is set with baguette-cut black sapphires along the bezel, caseband and lugs, with the falcon itself set with round brilliant diamonds across the wings and tail and hand-painted for colour and depth. The talons are picked out in yellow.
Sotheby’s catalogued an example of this configuration in 2018 as a unique piece, recording 532 stones weighing 9.34 carats in total, a black sapphire set into the crown, and a white gold and sapphire-set double folding clasp. The calibre is the RM57-02, a manual winding tourbillon with power-reserve indication running on 21 jewels.
