Dragon and phoenix in 3N rose gold
The RM 57-01 Tourbillon Jackie Chan followed the RM 057 in 2014, in a limited edition of 15 pieces. Where the earlier watch carried a dragon alone on a black onyx baseplate, the RM 57-01 places two figures inside the movement: a dragon and a phoenix, both created from 3N rose gold. The case is red gold, on a black rubber strap.
Both figures are carved and incised entirely by hand, and Richard Mille states that special miniature tools had to be made for the work. A hand-finished micro-painting process was applied afterwards, including to parts of the figures that are not visible in the assembled watch.
