Red Quartz TPT® with a black caseband
Red Quartz TPT® forms the bezel and caseback here, with a black caseband and a black strap, so the case reads as a red frame around a dark centre rather than as a two-tone composite.
The mask sits within the movement as a working component — wheel-train and tourbillon bridge — carried to the case by eight grade 5 titanium bridges machined from a single block.

Design and engineering
- Red Quartz TPT®Silica fibres in layers under 45 microns, saturated with resin developed for Richard Mille and stacked with a 45° rotation between plies, cured at 120 °C under 6 bar.
- Mask as componentServing as the wheel-train and tourbillon bridge rather than sitting over the movement, with the back of the mask performing the function of the centre bridge.
- Eight connecting bridgesConnecting the mask to the case and visible from the back, all grade 5 titanium and all created from a single block.
- Microblasted with polished anglageMicroblasted surfaces accentuated by polished anglage, which emphasises the protruding edges of the mask.
- An open readingRichard Mille leaves the reading open — a luchador, a kabuki mask, a superhero, a gladiator helmet — and describes it as a Rorschach test.
- Sapphire crystalsFront and back, the movement legible from either face.
