The all-Quartz TPT® Mask, in white
Executed entirely in white Quartz TPT®, this is the palest of the four case versions, the mask reading dark against an almost uniform white ground. The strap is white.
Quartz fibres are used in high-performance applications for their resistance to heat, their strength and their transparency to electromagnetic waves. Here they are laid in layers no thicker than 45 microns and cured under heat and pressure before machining.

Design and engineering
- Quartz TPT®Fibres aligned in layers no thicker than 45 microns and saturated in resins developed for Richard Mille, stacked by an automatic positioning system that shifts the orientation 45° between layers, then heated to 120 °C at 6 bar and machined on CNC in-house.
- Mask as wheel-train and tourbillon bridgeServing as the wheel-train and tourbillon bridge rather than sitting over the movement, with the back of the mask performing the function of the centre bridge.
- Eight titanium bridgesConnecting the mask to the case and visible from the back, all grade 5 titanium and all created from a single block.
- Microblasted surfaces with polished anglageMicroblasted surfaces accentuated by polished anglage, which emphasises the protruding edges of the mask.
- An open readingRichard Mille leaves the reading open — a luchador, a kabuki mask, a superhero, a gladiator helmet — and describes it as a Rorschach test.
- Four case materials in the seriesAll Carbon TPT®, all Quartz TPT®, blue and white Quartz TPT®, and red and white Quartz TPT®, each in an edition of 18 for Richard Mille boutiques in the Americas.
