Overview
TZP black ceramic bezels with a Carbon TPT® caseband
Announced in 2025 alongside the dark blue Quartz TPT® version, the black ceramic RM 30-01 combines TZP black ceramic with Carbon TPT®. TZP is Richard Mille’s designation for black and coloured ceramic; Carbon TPT® is built from layers of carbon filaments a maximum of 30 microns thick, laid at 45° to one another and cured under heat and pressure, which gives each case a unique striation pattern.
The watch shows a black case with a blue rubber-clad crown on a black rubber strap, and a skeletonised display carrying blue and orange transfers over grade 5 titanium bridges.

Design and engineering
- TZP black ceramicCeramic is used here for its hardness and scratch resistance; TZP is the brand’s own designation for its black and coloured ceramic, as distinct from ATZ white ceramic.
- Carbon TPT®Layered carbon composite, machined at Richard Mille from blocks cured at 120 °C under pressure, producing the damascene surface figure visible on the caseband.
- Declutchable variable-geometry rotorDeclutches at 55 hours of reserve and re-clutches at 40 hours; the clutch engagement indicator on the dial reports the current state.
- Function selectorPusher at 2 o’clock, indicator hand at 3 o’clock for winding, date setting and hand setting.
- Free-sprung balance with variable inertiaThe regulator index is eliminated; adjustment is by four small weights set directly on the balance.
- Case assemblyTripartite, 20 grade 5 titanium spline screws and 316L washers, two Nitrile O-ring seals, 50 m.
