Grade 5 titanium tonneau case with the RM017 tourbillon calibre
This RM 17-01 uses a grade 5 titanium case, the same alloy as the movement’s baseplate and bridges: 90% titanium, 6% aluminium, 4% vanadium. Case dimensions are 48.15 × 40.10 × 13.08 mm.
The calibre RM017 is a skeletonised manual-winding tourbillon with hours, minutes, a power-reserve scale at 2 o’clock and a function indicator at 4 o’clock, running at 21,600 vph with a power reserve of around 70 hours.

Design and engineering
- Grade 5 titaniumThe alloy is biocompatible and corrosion resistant, with rigidity sufficient to hold the surface flatness the going train requires. It is used for the case, the baseplate, the bridges and the spline screws.
- Skeletonised baseplateThe baseplate is openworked to expose the going train, with the great wheel at the top of the movement and the tourbillon at the bottom.
- Barrel pawl with progressive recoilThe pawl produces a winding gain of around 20%, particularly at the start of winding, and distributes the mainspring’s internal tension more evenly.
- Safety system with blocking gearThe system protects the balance roller jewel and the winding barrel from overwinding.
- Movement mountingNo casing ring is used. The movement is fixed on chassis mounting rubbers (ISO SW) secured by grade 5 titanium screws.
