The RM 12-01 in white Quartz TPT® with Carbon TPT®, the fourth of the 2018 executions. The white composite forms the bezel and caseback against the carbon elements, and machining across the layers exposes the striations.
The watch is on a white rubber strap with a titanium clasp. The edition ran to 18 pieces, sold exclusively through Richard Mille boutiques in the Americas.

Design and engineering
- White Quartz TPT® with Carbon TPT®Layers of silica inserted between layers of carbon, cured and then machined, so that the cut across the two materials produces a pattern distinct to each case.
- Unibody baseplateCaseband and baseplate fused into a single piece, drawn from racing-car chassis construction, giving resistance to accelerations over 5,000 g.
- Titanium bridgesGrade 5 titanium skeletonised bridges flank the great wheel at the top of the movement and the tourbillon at the bottom, supported by the baseplate.
- Fixed barrelDelivers consistent torque to the tourbillon; 70-hour running time.
- Movement architectureDerived from the RM 012 of 2006, which replaced the conventional baseplate with a tubular structure.
- Case construction48.00 × 39.30 × 13.84 mm, sapphire crystals both sides, water-resistant to 50 metres.
