Blue and white Quartz TPT® case, Jean Todt 50th Anniversary
Made to mark the fiftieth anniversary of Jean Todt’s career in motorsport and unveiled at the Chantilly Arts & Elegance Richard Mille concours. It was the first Richard Mille produced with a blue case.
The case is blue and white Quartz TPT®, obtained by stacking 600 layers of silica each only 45 microns thick, impregnated with a blue resin exclusive to Richard Mille, then heated to 120 °C before machining. The dial follows the standard RM 11-03 layout with the addition of white lettering between 7 and 8 o’clock reading “RM11-03 J. Todt”. The edition ran to 150 pieces.

Design and engineering
- Quartz TPT® construction600 layers of silica, each 45 microns thick, are stacked and impregnated with resin, then the assembly is heated to 120 °C before being machined at Richard Mille’s own facility. Machining across the layers produces marbled striations different on every case.
- Blue resinThe colour comes from a blue resin exclusive to Richard Mille, carried by the silica fibres rather than applied as a surface treatment.
- Dial markingWhite lettering between 7 and 8 o’clock reads “RM11-03 J. Todt”. The dial is otherwise the standard RM 11-03 layout.
- Calibre RMAC3Skeletonised automatic winding movement, 30.25 × 28.45 × 9.00 mm, 68 jewels, 28,800 vph, with grade 5 titanium baseplate and bridges under PVD coating, two barrels mounted side by side and a variable-geometry rotor.
- Companion editionsReleased alongside the RM 050 Jean Todt 50th Anniversary, a split-seconds tourbillon chronograph limited to 5 pieces, and the RM 056 Jean Todt 50th Anniversary in sapphire, limited to 3.
