Snow-set red gold with a mother-of-pearl centre
Snow setting arranges stones of differing diameters so that they fill the surface without a repeating grid and no metal shows between them. Here it covers the bezel and the caseband of the red gold tonneau case, and continues onto the frame of the dial-centre plate.
That frame is white metal, and inside it sits a mother-of-pearl panel, the nacre catching the light against the openworked CRMA1 around it. The hands are red gold, the crown is clad in white rubber and the strap is white.

Design and engineering
- Snow settingStones of differing diameters are placed to fill the surface without a repeating grid, so that no metal shows between them. It is a technique rather than a point on the coverage scale that runs from unset through one row and mid to full.
- Mother-of-pearl dial centreA nacre panel cut and set into the centre plate; the material’s layered structure produces the iridescence, so the play of light shifts with the angle of the wrist.
- Oversize dateSemi-instantaneous, placed horizontally under 12 o’clock, driven by two skeletonised calendar discs over a white field.
- Function selectorA push-button at 4 o’clock selects winding, neutral and hand-setting with a single push; an aperture at 4 o’clock shows W, N or H. A second push-button at 10 o’clock corrects the date.
- Patented stem-crown assemblyThe crown is part of the case rather than the movement, sealed with an Alcryn® O-ring and collar, so no crown attachment penetrates to the calibre.
- Variable-geometry rotorHeavy external outside edge and edge ring in ARCAP, weight segment in heavy metal, ceramic ball bearings and a OneWay® winding system, allowing the winding rate to be matched to the wearer.
