Overview
Red gold with a mid-set case and an onyx dial centre
The case is red gold throughout, set in the mid tier across the bezel and down the caseband flanks, so that the setting frames the movement rather than covering the case.
The dial-centre plate is red gold, set to match around a black onyx panel. The crown and pushers are white metal and the strap is white rubber.

Design and engineering
- Mid settingA defined tier on Richard Mille’s coverage scale, which runs from unset through one row and mid to full and snow. Here it is applied across the bezel and the caseband flanks, in rows divided by gold rails.
- Onyx dial centreA stone panel set into the centre plate, closing the middle of the movement while the calibre remains visible around it.
- Oversize dateSemi-instantaneous, placed horizontally under 12 o’clock and driven by two skeletonised calendar discs over a white field.
- Function selectorA push-button at 4 o’clock selects winding, neutral and hand-setting with a single push, in the manner of a gearbox; an aperture alongside shows W, N or H. A second push-button at 10 o’clock corrects the date.
- Patented stem-crown assemblyThe crown is part of the case rather than the movement, so no classical crown attachment penetrates to the heart of the calibre. It is sealed with an Alcryn® O-ring and collar.
- Case productionThe empty case requires more than 255 tooling operations and over five hours of glazing and polishing at the final stage; the profile is cut on a five-axis machine, and the Richard Mille engraving on the inside curve of the caseback takes 45 minutes per case.
