Overview
Satin-finished red gold, an Americas limited edition of 50
The Gold Toro was released as a numbered 50-piece limited edition sold exclusively through Richard Mille boutiques and authorised retailers in the Americas. The name follows Rafael Nadal’s nickname, El Toro, and it was launched alongside the Black Toro.
The tripartite tonneau case is satin-finished 18K red gold, with the bezel, hands and winding crown in red gold set against black screws, a black inner bezel and a black rubber strap. The gold RM035 AMERICAS plaque sits on the flange, and the calibre RMUL1 is visible through the sapphire caseback.

Design and engineering
- Satin-finished red gold caseThe tripartite tonneau construction is retained, with the bezel, hands and winding crown executed in 18K red gold and the bezel screws left black.
- Calibre RMUL1Skeletonised manual winding, 24 jewels, running at 4 Hz on a free-sprung variable-inertia balance, built on a PVD-treated titanium baseplate with Titalyt®-treated titanium bridges and balance cock. The movement weighs 4.3 grams and its skeletonisation took a year to finalise.
- Chronofiable® certificationCarried across the RM 035 family since the 2011 original. The test compresses roughly six months of wear into 21 days, covering movement function, rate, amplitude at 0 °C and 50 °C, power reserve and winding velocity, along with linear and angular accelerations and some 20,000 shocks from 250 to 5,500 m/s².
- Free-sprung balance with variable inertiaThe regulator index is eliminated; regulation is by four small weights set directly on the balance.
- Sapphire casebackThe skeletonised manual-winding movement is visible from the reverse.
