The Patek Philippe Grand Complications Minute Repeater, Tourbillon, reference 5303R-001, in rose gold with leaf-engraved white gold inserts and an open dial showing the hammers and gongs, on a shiny black alligator strap. Manually wound calibre R TO 27 PS with tourbillon at 6 o'clock and small seconds; 42 mm, 12.13 mm high.
The reference 5303R-001 is a manually wound minute repeater with tourbillon whose dial is open: Patek Philippe presents it as the first Patek Philippe Grand Complication to give a clear view of the hammers and gongs from the dial side, and the tourbillon is seen through the small seconds counter at 6 o'clock. The movement's design was reworked to be shown this way. The rose gold case, 42 mm across and 12.13 mm high, carries white gold inserts engraved with a leaf pattern, and the white gold repeater slide is engraved to match; it is humidity- and dust-protected only, with a sapphire crystal back that shows a bevelled white gold rim around the movement.
The calibre R TO 27 PS is hand-wound, 31.6 mm across and 8.35 mm high, with 356 parts and 29 jewels; it runs at 21,600 semi-oscillations an hour (3 Hz) on a Breguet balance spring, with a power reserve of 40 to 48 hours, under the Patek Philippe Seal. The strike is on two classic gongs, released by the engraved slide; the tourbillon sits at 6 o'clock and is shown from the back of its carriage through the seconds counter. What dial remains is a black hour circle with minute markers printed in white and dots of golden powder, read by skeletonised leaf-shaped hands in white gold, black varnished.

Patek Philippe addresses the reference to chiming-watch enthusiasts, and its argument is visual: hammers, gongs and the back of the tourbillon carriage all on the dial side, which the brand says required the movement's design to be reworked. That is the reference's identity, rather than any change to the strike itself.
