The Patek Philippe Complications Annual Calendar, Regulator-style Display, reference 5235/50R-001, in rose gold with a two-tone graphite and ebony black dial, vertically satin-finished, on a matte black alligator strap. Self-winding calibre 31-260 REG QA with hours and seconds in sub-dials, sweep minutes and the Annual Calendar in apertures; 40.5 mm, 10 mm high.
The reference 5235/50R-001 is Patek Philippe's Annual Calendar Regulator in the Complications collection, a self-winding watch whose dial follows the regulator layout the brand traces to the precision clocks once used in watchmaking workshops: the hours and the seconds in their own sub-dials, the minutes alone from the centre. The case is rose gold, 40.5 mm across and 10 mm high, polished with satin-brushed flanks. The dial is two-tone graphite and ebony black with a vertical satin finish and white transfer-printed markers, with white-varnished baton-style hands in white gold, on a matte black alligator strap with a rose gold prong buckle engraved 'Patek Philippe'.
The calibre 31-260 REG QA is the regulator version of the brand's self-winding 31-260, wound by a 22K gold off-centre minirotor. It carries the Annual Calendar with day, date and month in apertures, and its regulating organ is the point Patek Philippe makes of it: a Pulsomax® escapement and a Spiromax® balance spring, both in Silinvar®, from the Patek Philippe Advanced Research department, with a Gyromax® balance running at 23,040 semi-oscillations an hour (3.2 Hz). The movement measures 33 mm across and 5.08 mm high, with 313 parts and 31 jewels, has a power reserve of 38 to 48 hours, and carries the Patek Philippe Seal.
