The RM 64-01 Tourbillon Colnago was released in 2026 in a limited edition of 50 pieces, developed with the Italian bicycle manufacturer Colnago, founded at Cambiago in 1954. Richard Mille’s partnerships in cycling include Mark Cavendish, Mathieu van der Poel, Tadej Pogačar and UAE Team Emirates.

The calibre RM64-01 was built around lightness, transparency and volume, and lays out its 274 components in a tubular architecture that Richard Mille relates to the RM 012 Tourbillon. The barrel at 1 o’clock sits in symmetry with the variable-inertia tourbillon at 7 o’clock. The upper bridges take a star-shaped section from the Colnago "Master" frames of the 1980s, developed to increase torsional rigidity without adding weight.

The case is the first Richard Mille sports watch to use 5N red gold as part of its visual identity: the flange and the crown cap are 5N red gold, against a case in White Quartz TPT® with notched bezels in a newly developed Azure Blue Quartz TPT®.

Design and engineering

• Calibre RM64-01Manual winding tourbillon with hours and minutes. The movement measures 33.00 × 30.80 mm with a thickness of 6.28 mm, runs on 19 jewels at 21,600 vph (3 Hz), and provides around 65 hours (± 10%) of power reserve. The tourbillon is 12.40 mm in diameter.
• Ultra-skeletonised baseplate and bridgesGrade 5 titanium, microblasted with hand-polished bevels and finished with a black and grey PVD treatment. The upper bridges are lacquered white and then hand-painted in azure blue and 5N red gold, tied together visually by microblasted titanium hub caps in blue lacquer. The colours are taken from the Colnago "C68".
• Fast-rotating barrelRichard Mille specifies a reduction in periodic internal mainspring adhesion and a mainspring delta curve giving a favourable power reserve, performance and regularity ratio.
• Free-sprung balance with variable inertiaGlucydur®, two arms and four setting screws, a moment of inertia of 11.50 mg·cm² and an angle of lift of 53°, with an elinvar balance spring by Nivarox® and KIF Elastor KE 160 B28 shock protection. The index is eliminated.
• Quartz TPT® caseTripartite, 43.21 × 49.94 × 14.23 mm, water-resistant to 50 m via two nitrile O-ring seals and assembled with 20 grade 5 titanium spline screws and abrasion-resistant 316L stainless steel washers.
• 5N red gold elementsThe flange is 5N red gold, as are the hands, shaped to echo a bicycle crank. The crown cap is Quartz TPT®, microblasted, satin-finished and polished, carrying a lacquered Ace of Clubs after the Colnago emblem.
• Barrel pawl with progressive recoilGives a winding gain of around 20%, particularly at the start of winding, and distributes the mainspring’s internal tension more evenly.
