Titanium case with a blue and white 24-hour flange
This is the original RM 63-02, first shown in 2014 and cased entirely in grade 5 titanium. The photograph shows the satin-brushed and polished case, a blue and white 24-hour disc separating daytime from night-time hours, and a blue strap.
The world-time function is operated from the bezel: turning it until the desired city reaches 12 o’clock sets local time and the readings for the other 23 cities. An oversize date sits at 12 o’clock, driven by two skeletonised discs over a white background, and a pusher at 4 o’clock selects the crown’s winding, hand-setting and neutral positions, with the selection shown in an aperture at the same position.

Design and engineering
- Bezel-driven world timeThe bezel is made in grade 5 titanium with alternating satin-brushed and polished surfaces, and turns to select the time zone without a dedicated pusher.
- Baseplate and bridgesGrade 5 titanium with electroplasma treatment, specified for the rigidity of the assembly.
- Oversize dateAt 12 o’clock, using two skeletonised calendar discs over a white background.
- Function selectorThe pusher at 4 o’clock selects winding, hand setting or neutral; the aperture at 4 o’clock displays W, N or H.
- CrownFitted with a collar in Alcryn, a material Richard Mille specifies for the feel of vulcanised rubber together with abrasion and environmental resistance.
- Case constructionAssembled with 12 grade 5 titanium spline screws, water-resistant to 30 m, measuring 47 mm across and 13.85 mm thick.
