Overview
The cable-suspended polo tourbillon in white
The case here is white, its notched profile giving the RM 53-01 its structural stiffness.
The construction is unchanged: a manual-winding tourbillon suspended inside the case on braided cable, read through laminated sapphire glass built from two sheets separated by a polyvinyl film, so that a mallet strike cracks the glass without shattering it.

- Cable-suspended calibreThe calibre’s central baseplate hangs on braided steel cables, so shocks reaching the case walls are absorbed before they reach the movement.
- Two grade 5 titanium baseplatesA peripheral baseplate is attached to the caseband; a central baseplate, carrying the calibre’s wheels and winding mechanism, is attached to it by cables. Black and grey PVD treatment for the baseplates and bridges.
- Notched case profileThe notches are structural, reinforcing the case rather than decorating it.
