Overview
Small seconds and semi-instantaneous date on a 3.28 mm micro-rotor calibre
The RM 33-03 succeeded the RM 33-02 in 2025. It runs the RMXP3, a skeletonised automatic calibre 3.28 mm thick, wound by an off-centre monobloc micro-rotor in solid platinum mounted on ceramic ball bearings. Two displays are new to the RM 33 family: a small seconds subdial at 6 o’clock and a semi-instantaneous date at 5 o’clock, shown on a black PVD-treated titanium disc.
This is the Carbon TPT® version, with the layer striations visible across the bezel and the applied numerals and hands in 18K 5N red gold. Richard Mille pairs the Carbon TPT® bezels with a 5N red gold caseband.

Design and engineering
- Calibre RMXP33.28 mm thick. The baseplate and bridges are titanium treated with Titalyt® and black PVD coatings, a combination chosen for stiffness and surface flatness — thin components are prone to flexing, vibrating and warping under machining stress and temperature change. Sandblasting, microblasting, satin finishing and anglage are all applied by hand.
- Off-centre monobloc micro-rotorSolid platinum, mounted on ceramic ball bearings and winding bi-directionally, chosen for its weight-to-volume ratio in a decentralised position.
- Suspended red gold numerals18K 5N red gold numerals are mounted on rigid titanium rails positioned between the flange and the movement, so that they hover above the calibre.
- Semi-instantaneous date at 5 o’clockCarried on a black PVD-treated titanium disc read through a framed aperture.
- Tripartite caseSatin and polished finishes, secured by grade 5 titanium spline screws with 316L stainless steel washers and Nitrile O-ring seals; water resistant to 30 metres. There is no casing ring — the movement is mounted on rubber silent blocks fixed by titanium screws.
- Strap integrationIndentations at 6 and 12 o’clock carry the case geometry into the strap, which closes with a grade 5 titanium folding clasp.
