The RM 27-05 closes the series that began with the RM 027 in 2010. It weighs 11.5 grammes excluding the strap and withstands 14,000 g — two records at once for a manual-winding tourbillon watch. The project began in 2019.
The case measures 37.25 × 47.25 × 7.20 mm in Carbon TPT® B.4. The calibre rests on the caseback, without screws, on protrusions directly machined into the case, and the bezel and flange hold it firmly against the caseback. The calibre RM27-05 is based on the ultra-thin RMUP-01 used in the RM UP-01 Ferrari, with a flying tourbillon at 3 Hz and 55 hours of power reserve. The baseplate and bridges are microblasted and PVD-treated grade 5 titanium; the V-shaped gear train bridge is machined from Carbon TPT®.
