All-Carbon TPT® case, 18-piece Americas edition
One of four RM 12-01 executions released in 2018, this one with the tripartite case entirely in Carbon TPT®, satin-finished. The movement is a manual winding tourbillon with a unibody baseplate in which the caseband and baseplate are fused into a single piece.
The watch is on a black rubber strap with a titanium clasp. The edition ran to 18 pieces, sold exclusively through Richard Mille boutiques in the Americas.

Design and engineering
- Carbon TPT® caseLayers of parallel carbon filaments, resin-impregnated and laid with the weft direction rotated between successive layers, cured and then machined so that the cut exposes the laminate as a pattern of undulations. The bezel is satin-finished.
- Unibody baseplateCaseband and baseplate fused into a single piece, inspired by racing-car chassis construction, giving resistance to accelerations over 5,000 g.
- Titanium bridgesGrade 5 titanium skeletonised bridges flank the great wheel at the top and the tourbillon at the bottom.
- Power reserve70 hours from a fixed barrel, which delivers consistent torque to the tourbillon.
- Case construction48.00 × 39.30 × 13.84 mm, sapphire crystals both sides, water-resistant to 50 metres.
- Material propertiesCompared with other composites, Carbon TPT® improves the rate of occurrence of breaking stresses by 25% and of micro-cracks by 200%.
