Gold Carbon TPT® layers gold leaf with carbon, producing a dark composite shot through with a fine gold grain that differs from piece to piece. It is paired here with gold on the crown, the pushers and the accent strips at the lugs, against a rose-toned inner flange.
The dial-centre frame is gold, set with black stones around a black panel, and the strap is black rubber.

- Gold Carbon TPT®An exclusive Richard Mille composite in which gold leaf is layered with carbon, so that the gold reads as a fine grain running through the dark material rather than as an applied surface. The grain differs from case to case.
- Set centre frameThe frame around the black central panel is set with black stones, so the setting reads as texture rather than as brightness.
- Oversize dateSemi-instantaneous, placed horizontally under 12 o’clock and driven by two skeletonised calendar discs over a white field.
- Function selectorA push-button at 4 o’clock selects winding, neutral and hand-setting with a single push, in the manner of a gearbox; an aperture alongside shows W, N or H. A second push-button at 10 o’clock corrects the date.
- Baseplate and bridges in grade 5 titaniumMicroblasted and electroplasma treated for rigidity and the surface flatness the gear train requires. Both were validation-tested separately for strength.
- Fast-rotating barrelOne revolution in five hours rather than the conventional 7.5, which improves the mainspring’s delta curve.
