Overview
ATZ white ceramic with red gold and a set centre plate
ATZ is Richard Mille’s designation for white ceramic, formed under high-pressure aluminium oxide injection. It gives a hard, matte white surface that holds its colour.
Here it forms the bezel and caseback, with red gold on the crown, the pushers and the inner bezel. The dial-centre plate is red gold set with diamonds around a black panel, and the strap is white rubber.

Design and engineering
- ATZ white ceramicHard and scratch resistant, matte in finish, and distinct from the TZP designation Richard Mille uses for black and coloured ceramic.
- Set red gold centre plateDiamonds are set into the red gold frame around a black central panel.
- Oversize dateSemi-instantaneous, placed horizontally under 12 o’clock and driven by two skeletonised calendar discs over a white field.
- Function selectorA push-button at 4 o’clock selects winding, neutral and hand-setting with a single push, in the manner of a gearbox; an aperture alongside shows W, N or H. A second push-button at 10 o’clock corrects the date.
- Patented stem-crown assemblyThe crown is part of the case rather than the movement, so no classical crown attachment penetrates to the heart of the calibre. It is sealed with an Alcryn® O-ring and collar.
- Spline screws in grade 5 titaniumUsed for the bridges, case, rotor and baseplate, giving controlled torque at assembly.
