Extra-flat round case in white gold, set with diamonds
An RM 033 in white gold, its bezel set in panels of diamonds between polished bars, with a row of diamonds on each lug. The skeletonised dial carries large Roman numerals, and the ceramic crown is tipped in white metal; black alligator-pattern strap.
Presented in 2011, the RM 033 is Richard Mille’s extra-flat automatic. The RMXP1 calibre places a solid platinum micro-rotor to the side rather than the centre, so the movement is just 2.60 mm thick and the round case 6.30 mm.

- Off-centre platinum micro-rotorWinds in both directions. Its position at the side of the movement saves height, keeping the skeletonised calibre RMXP1 to 33.00 mm across and 2.60 mm thick.
- Free-sprung balanceThe calibre RMXP1, with 29 jewels and beating at 3 Hz, has a free-sprung balance with variable inertia.
- Titanium movementBaseplate in grade 5 titanium with Titalyt® treatment, bridges with black PVD coating.
- Tripartite caseThe lugs are fully integrated into the case. It is water resistant to 30 metres, sealed by two Nitril O-rings and assembled with 16 grade 5 titanium spline screws.
- Diamond settingDiamond panels between polished bars around the bezel, and a row of diamonds on each lug.
