Carbon TPT® case on the Aerodyne dual time zone
This record carries a Carbon TPT® case on the RM 022 Aerodyne Dual Time Zone Tourbillon. Carbon TPT® is built from layers of parallel carbon filaments impregnated with a black matrix and stacked with a 45° change of direction between layers, then cured; machining exposes the layering as banding.

Design and engineering
- Carbon TPT®Parallel carbon filaments are laid in layers, impregnated with a black matrix and stacked with the direction rotated 45° between layers before curing. The pattern revealed by machining differs from case to case.
- Composite baseplateTitanium exterior framework with honeycomb orthorhombic titanium aluminide and carbon nanofibre. Seen from the dial side the plate takes a trench-like V-shaped profile, with the outer edges standing higher than the centre.
- Sapphire disc dual time zoneA transparent sapphire disc inscribed with hours rotates permanently through the movement; the figures are legible only against the field at 3 o’clock.
- Torque indicatorThe indicator at 1 o’clock reports the tension in the mainspring barrel.
- Function selectorA hand at 4 o’clock shows the position selected by the crown.
