Blue Quartz TPT® case on the Aerodyne dual time zone
This RM 022 carries a blue Quartz TPT® case. Quartz TPT® is produced by the same layering process as Carbon TPT® but from silica threads, which take colour in the matrix; the layers are visible as banding once the case is machined.
The movement and case architecture are those of the RM 022: a case of 48.00 × 39.70 × 13.85 mm, the calibre RM022 manual-winding tourbillon, circa 70 hours of power reserve, and a second time zone carried on a rotating sapphire disc and read at 3 o’clock.

Design and engineering
- Quartz TPT®Silica threads are divided into filaments, impregnated with a coloured matrix and layered with the weft direction changed between layers before curing. The colour sits in the material rather than on it.
- Composite baseplateTitanium exterior framework with honeycomb orthorhombic titanium aluminide and carbon nanofibre, in the V-profile that gives the model its name.
- Sapphire disc dual time zoneThe disc rotates continuously; its hour figures register only when they pass the background field at 3 o’clock.
- Second-time-zone pusherA push button on the caseband advances the indication by one hour per press.
- Power-reserve and torque indicatorsPower reserve at 11 o’clock, torque at 1 o’clock.
