The reference 980 is the hunter-style pocket watch of Patek Philippe's Pocket Watches collection. It carries the Patek Philippe Seal, which Patek Philippe names as the standard the movement's finishing is made to. In a hunter (savonnette) movement the winding stem sits at a right angle to the small seconds, so the crown falls at the side of the case and the seconds at the bottom of the dial, under the front cover.
