Overview
Snow-set, case to clasp
The Patek Philippe Nautilus Haute Joaillerie, reference 7118/1450G-001, in white gold snow-set with 2,364 brilliant-cut diamonds (11.63 cts) across case, bezel, dial and bracelet, on the white gold bracelet. Self-winding calibre 26-330 S with sweep seconds and stop-seconds; 35.2 mm from 10 to 4 o'clock, 8.65 mm high.
The reference 7118/1450 is the ladies' Nautilus in Haute Joaillerie, paved throughout with 2,364 brilliant-cut diamonds (11.63 cts). The case, bezel and bracelet are set by the random-setting technique, also known as snow-setting; the dial carries 283 diamonds (1.07 cts) in rows that follow the collection's wave pattern. The case is 35.2 mm from 10 to 4 o'clock and 8.65 mm high, with a sapphire crystal back.
The movement is the self-winding calibre 26-330 S, the sweep-seconds version of the calibre without a date: 27 mm across, 3.32 mm high, 181 parts, 29 jewels, a 21K gold central rotor, a Gyromax® balance with a Spiromax® balance spring at 28,800 semi-oscillations an hour, and a power reserve of at least 45 hours. Patek Philippe names its stop-seconds function, which halts the seconds hand when the crown is pulled so the time can be set to the second. Numerals, hour markers and alpha-style hands are applied over an 18K gold dial plate, all with white luminescent coating.
For collectors
Patek Philippe counts the paving by component — 283 diamonds on the dial, 456 on the case, 20 on the crown, 1,605 on the bracelet — and names the fold-over clasp as secured by four independent catches; the dial has no date aperture because the calibre is the no-date 26-330 S.
