A Calatrava with a carbon-pattern dial
The Patek Philippe Calatrava, reference 6007G-001, in polished white gold with an ebony black dial embossed with a carbon motif, white gold numerals and hands, a yellow seconds hand and triangle markers, on a black carbon-pattern calfskin strap. Self-winding calibre 26-330 S C with date, sweep seconds and stop-seconds; 40 mm, 9.17 mm high.
The reference 6007 is the Calatrava with date and sweep seconds in a 40 mm polished white gold case, 9.17 mm high, with an ebony black dial Patek Philippe describes as graphic rather than classical: its centre is embossed with a 'carbon' motif, and three finishes ring it — a snailed inner minute scale, a circular satin-finished hour circle and a sunburst outer minute scale. Applied numerals and baton-style hands in white gold carry white luminescent coating.
The movement is the self-winding calibre 26-330 S C: 27 mm across, 3.32 mm high, 207 parts, 30 jewels, wound by a 21K gold central rotor. Its stop-seconds function halts the seconds hand when the crown is pulled so the time can be set to the second, and the date sits in an aperture. It runs at 28,800 semi-oscillations an hour on a Gyromax® balance with a Spiromax® balance spring, for a power reserve of 35 to 45 hours, and carries the Patek Philippe Seal. A sapphire crystal case back shows it; the case is water-resistant to 30 m.
