The first 6002
The Patek Philippe Sky Moon Tourbillon, reference 6002G-001, in white gold with a blue enamel dial: the rare handcrafts version Patek Philippe offered from 2013 to 2016. A double-face watch with 12 complications on the manually wound calibre R TO 27 QR SID LU CL.
The reference 6002G-001 is the first Ref. 6002 Sky Moon Tourbillon. Patek Philippe's June 2021 release describes it as a rare handcrafts version of the double-face watch, in a white gold case with a blue enamel dial, available from 2013 to 2016 and then followed by the black-dial 6002G-010. The brand's instructions for the reference present the 6002 as the successor of the Ref. 5002, with a case and dial that show two crafts, the engraver's and the enameller's. Patek Philippe no longer makes this reference.
It carries 12 complications on the manually wound calibre R TO 27 QR SID LU CL, which Patek Philippe describes as largely identical to the movement of the Ref. 5002, though the 6002 shows the moon phases where the 5002 showed the moon's age. The front dial gives the time and a perpetual calendar with a retrograde date and moon phases; the back shows the northern sky, sidereal time and the angular progression and phases of the moon. A minute repeater strikes on two cathedral gongs and the escapement is a tourbillon turning once a minute. The calibre is 38 mm overall and 12.61 mm high, with 705 parts, 55 jewels and 24 bridges.

Patek Philippe's own dates put this execution in the collection from 2013 to 2016, after which the black-dial 6002G-010 took its place.

Design and engineering
- Two facesFront: mean solar time and the perpetual calendar with a retrograde date hand and moon phases. Back: the sky chart, sidereal time and the moon's angular progression and phases. The crown at 4 o'clock winds the watch and sets the time; a second crown at 8 o'clock on the sky side corrects the sky chart and the moon.
- Cathedral gongsThe repeater sounds the hours on the low-pitched gong, the quarters as double strikes on both gongs and the minutes on the high-pitched gong, up to 32 strikes at 12:59. Patek Philippe developed a new alloy for the gongs, which are nearly twice as long as conventional ones and wrap around the movement.
- Dynamometric crownA patented crown that protects the winding mechanism once the mainspring is fully tensioned; soft clicks signal that the watch is wound.
- WaterThe slot for the repeater slide leaves the case unprotected against moisture; Patek Philippe advises keeping liquid away from the watch.
