The Nautilus in white gold, at 41 mm
The Patek Philippe Nautilus, reference 5811/1G-001, in white gold on the white gold bracelet, sunburst blue dial with a black-gradient rim. Self-winding calibre 26-330 S C with date at 3 o'clock, sweep seconds and stop-seconds; 41 mm from 10 to 4 o'clock, 8.2 mm high.
The reference 5811/1G-001 is the Nautilus with date and sweep seconds in white gold, case and bracelet alike, with a sunburst blue dial whose rim shades to black. Patek Philippe presents it as a reinterpretation of what it calls a cult design: the porthole case with its hinges at 10 and 4 o'clock, the horizontally embossed dial, the integrated bracelet, and the play of satin-brushed and polished surfaces across all three. The case is two-part and measures 41 mm from 10 to 4 o'clock, 8.2 mm high, with a screw-down crown and a sapphire crystal back.
Inside is the self-winding calibre 26-330 S C, Patek Philippe's date-and-sweep-seconds automatic: 27 mm across, 3.32 mm high, 207 parts, 30 jewels, wound by a 21K gold central rotor. Patek Philippe singles out its stop-seconds function, which halts the seconds hand when the crown is pulled so the time can be set to the second, and the date, which sits in an aperture at 3 o'clock. It runs at 28,800 semi-oscillations an hour on a Gyromax® balance with a Spiromax® balance spring, for a power reserve of 35 to 45 hours, and carries the Patek Philippe Seal. The bracelet closes with the brand's patented fold-over clasp, which has a lockable adjustment system.
