The reference 5231G-001 is Patek Philippe's World Time with a Rare Handcrafts dial, in the Complications collection: the brand presents it as a tribute to Southeast Asia and Oceania, whose map fills the dial's centre in Grand Feu cloisonné enamel on an 18K gold dial plate, with 4 gold spangles. The case is white gold, 38.5 mm across and 10.23 mm high, on a matte navy blue alligator strap with a white gold fold-over clasp. The hands are white gold, circle-shaped for the hours and lozenge-shaped for the minutes.
The calibre 240 HU is the brand's ultra-thin self-winding World Time movement, by Patek Philippe's description: a city disk and a 24-hour disk with day/night zones turn around the enamel centre, so the time in all 24 time zones can be read at once.
