The Patek Philippe Calatrava, reference 4997/200G-001, in white gold with a bezel set with 76 brilliant-cut diamonds, midnight blue embossed and lacquered dial with powdered gilt markers, on a navy blue satin-finished calfskin strap. Patek Philippe no longer lists this reference in its current collection. Ultra-thin self-winding calibre 240; 35 mm, 7.4 mm high.
The reference 4997/200 is a Calatrava the brand presents as a feminine one, in a 35 mm case, 7.4 mm high, whose bezel is set with 76 brilliant-cut diamonds (0.55 ct). The dial is the point of this reference: the plate is embossed first and then lacquered in successive translucent layers, so the pattern reads through the colour with depth, and the hour markers are transfer-printed in a powdered gilt rather than applied.
The movement is the self-winding calibre 240, which Patek Philippe describes as ultra-thin: 27.5 mm across, 2.53 mm high, 152 parts and 27 jewels, wound by a 22K gold minirotor set off-centre and recessed into the movement rather than turning above it. It runs at 21,600 semi-oscillations an hour on a Gyromax® balance with a Spiromax® balance spring, for a power reserve of at least 48 hours, and carries the Patek Philippe Seal. A sapphire crystal case back shows it; the case is water-resistant to 30 m.

The bezel setting is counted by Patek Philippe — 76 brilliant-cut diamonds, 0.55 ct — and is the only gem-setting on the watch; the dial's depth comes from the lacquer layering Patek Philippe describes, not from applied markers, and the strap is chosen to the dial's colour.
