Overview

The Octa in a sports case

The F.P. Journe Automatique Réserve, LineSport, reference ARS2, in grade 5 titanium on the titanium bracelet, yellow aluminium-alloy dial with applied luminescent numerals and a white sapphire seconds counter. Self-winding Octa calibre 1300.3 in aluminium alloy, with day/night indication, power reserve and very large date. 44 mm, 11 mm high.

The Automatique Réserve is the LineSport collection's Octa time-and-date watch. The 44 mm case, 11 mm high, has a bezel inlaid with ceramic, and comes on a bracelet matched to its case. The Octa 1300.3 movement is made in aluminium alloy, and the brand gives the whole watch at around 83 grams. The links at the case are articulated, with a folding clasp adjustable by about 5 mm.

The dial adds a day-and-night indication to the Octa's centred hours and minutes, small seconds at 6 o'clock, power reserve and large date, the date at 1 o'clock in the 4.7 × 2.6 mm window. The day/night and reserve indications sit at 9h00 and 10h30. Winding is unidirectional through an off-centre rotor in titanium with a tungsten segment, and the reserve is rated at 160 ± 10 hours. The balance is free-sprung on four adjustable inertia weights with a flat Anachron spring, at 21,600 vibrations an hour. The crown winds in position 0, corrects the date in position 1 and the time in position 2.
