The Octa in a sports case
The F.P. Journe Automatique Réserve, LineSport, reference AR2, in 18K 6N gold on the 6N gold bracelet with matte hammered finish, blackened guilloché silver dial with matte 5N gold appliqué numerals. Self-winding Octa calibre 1300.3 in 18K rose gold, with day/night indication, power reserve and very large date. 44 mm, 11 mm high.
The Automatique Réserve is the LineSport collection's Octa time-and-date watch. The 44 mm case, 11 mm high, has a bezel inlaid with ceramic, and comes on a bracelet matched to its case. The Octa 1300.3 movement is made in 18K rose gold. The 18K 6N gold bracelet has a matte hammered finish, and the links at the case are articulated, with a folding clasp adjustable by about 5 mm.
The dial adds a day-and-night indication to the Octa's centred hours and minutes, small seconds at 6 o'clock, power reserve and large date, the date at 1 o'clock in the 4.7 × 2.6 mm window. The day/night and reserve indications sit at 7h30 and 9h30. Winding is unidirectional through an off-centre rotor in 22K 5N gold, and the reserve is rated at 160 ± 10 hours. The balance is free-sprung on four adjustable inertia weights with a flat Anachron spring, at 21,600 vibrations an hour. The crown winds in position 0, corrects the date in position 1 and the time in position 2.
