The Santos de Cartier, reference WGSA0110, in an 18-carat yellow gold case, 47 x 39.8 mm and 11.6 mm thick, with an alternating satin- and sunray-finish dial. Manufacture chronograph calibre 1904-CH MC with automatic winding, on an 18-carat yellow gold bracelet with the SmartLink adjustment system.
Cartier traces the Santos de Cartier to 1904, when Louis Cartier met the wish of the Brazilian aviator Alberto Santos Dumont to tell the time while flying. Cartier names the rounded dial angles, the continuous curve of the horns and the visible screws as the design's marks.
This large model is a chronograph. Its functions are hours, minutes, small seconds, a calendar aperture and the chronograph.
