The Cartier Santos-Dumont, reference WGSA0096, in a 950/1000 platinum case, 43.5 x 31.4 mm and 7.3 mm thick, with an olive green dial. Calibre 430 MC with manual winding, on a green alligator strap with a platinum ardillon buckle. Cartier limits this version to 200 individually numbered pieces.
This version is in platinum, with a sunray-brushed olive green dial, Arabic numerals and a green alligator strap. The case back carries an engraving of Alberto Santos-Dumont's handwritten signature.
Cartier dates the Santos-Dumont to 1904 and says Louis Cartier answered the wish of the Brazilian aviator Alberto Santos Dumont to read the time while flying. Cartier names the rounded angles of the dial, the horns that curve without a seam, and the exposed screws as the features of the design.
The movement is the manually wound calibre 430 MC, which shows the hours and minutes. A sapphire crystal covers the dial.
