Overview

A tourbillon shared across five executions

The Vacheron Constantin Overseas Tourbillon, reference 6000V/110A-B544, in stainless steel with a sunburst blue dial, on the steel bracelet with its triple folding clasp. Self-winding calibre 2160 with tourbillon and small seconds; 42.5 mm, 10.39 mm high, with dark blue leather and rubber straps included.

This execution is the same Overseas Tourbillon case and calibre 2160 movement as the titanium and pink gold references, in stainless steel with the same blue lacquered dial as the titanium blue-dial execution. The bracelet and its triple folding clasp are steel, and the two extra straps are dark blue calfskin leather and dark blue rubber.

This Overseas Tourbillon is one of five executions built on the same case and movement: two in titanium (one with a blue dial, one with a deep-red dial), one in 18K pink gold, one in stainless steel, and one in 18K white gold with a diamond-set bezel. Vacheron Constantin frames the line as a tribute to the spirit of travel. The case is 42.5 mm across and 10.39 mm high, water-resistant to 50 m, with a transparent sapphire case back and an antimagnetic marking on the case back. Small seconds sit on the tourbillon carriage itself on every execution, each with its own dial colour and case metal detailed alongside.

Inside is the self-winding calibre 2160: 31 mm across and 5.65 mm high -- thin for a tourbillon movement -- with 188 parts and 30 jewels, framed by a tourbillon cage the brand describes as shaped after the Maltese cross. A sapphire case back displays it, wound by a peripheral rotor rather than a full oscillating weight, so the movement stays visible edge to edge; on this titanium execution the rotor is 22K 3N yellow gold. It runs at 18,000 V.P.H. (2.5 Hz) for a power reserve the brand states as more than 3 days, 80 hours on the Caliber tab, and carries the Hallmark of Geneva, which the brand's own account dates to 1886, when the Republic and Canton of Geneva adopted it as a mark of sound workmanship and reliability. Each of the five executions comes on a bracelet or strap in its own case metal with a matching clasp, and ships with two further straps plus a spare buckle or clasp, as each record's own Additional Accessories row lists them.

For collectors

All five executions of this reference share the same case, at 42.5 mm and 10.39 mm high, and the same calibre 2160 movement -- they differ only in case metal, dial colour, and, on the white gold execution, a diamond-set bezel, worth knowing when comparing across the family.
