The Vacheron Constantin Overseas Chronograph, reference 5520V/210R-B952, in 18K pink gold with a sunburst-finished blue dial, on the pink gold bracelet with its triple folding clasp. Self-winding column-wheel calibre 5200 with a 30-minute and 12-hour chronograph and date; 42.5 mm, 12.67 mm high, certified to the Hallmark of Geneva.
This execution is the same 42.5 mm Overseas Chronograph case and calibre 5200 movement, in the same 18K pink gold, but on a blue-lacquered dial. The bracelet and its triple folding clasp are pink gold, and the two further straps supplied are dark-blue rubber and dark-blue grained calfskin leather, closed with a spare pink gold Ardillon buckle.
The reference 5520V/210R is Vacheron Constantin's Overseas Chronograph, built on the self-winding calibre 5200 in 18K pink gold or stainless steel, 42.5 mm across and 12.67 mm high. The chronograph is column-wheel controlled, timing up to 30 minutes and 12 hours through two snailed counters, with a date shown through an aperture between 4 and 5 o'clock; the dial's centre is sunburst-finished, with a circular-finished internal minute track and a velvet-finished outer one. Vacheron Constantin describes the bracelet's links as tracing the Maltese cross through their own shape.
Inside, an openworked case back shows the winding rotor -- a 22K gold oscillating weight the brand decorates in a wind-rose pattern and ties to a theme of travel -- over the self-winding calibre 5200: 30.6 mm across, 6.6 mm high, 263 parts and 54 jewels, running at 28,800 V.P.H. Every execution is certified to the Hallmark of Geneva, which the brand's own account dates to 1886, when the Republic and Canton of Geneva set it as the standard for watches finished to their own mark, standing today for where and how well a piece was made.
