A round tourbillon case for the Traditionnelle line
The Vacheron Constantin Traditionnelle Tourbillon, reference 6000T/000P-H025, in 950 platinum with a deep green sunburst dial, on a green alligator strap. Self-winding calibre 2160 with a peripheral rotor visible through the case back; 41 mm, 10.4 mm high, certified to the Hallmark of Geneva.
The reference 6000T is Vacheron Constantin's Traditionnelle Tourbillon, built on the calibre 2160 movement in two case metals: 950 platinum with a deep green sunburst-finished dial on a green alligator strap, and 18K pink gold with a silver-toned opaline dial on a brown alligator strap. The case is round, with lugs stepped away from the case body, a slender bezel and a fluted case back -- features the brand frames as characteristic of the Traditionnelle collection -- and the dial carries a railway-style minute track with dauphine-shaped hour and minute hands, small seconds shown directly on the tourbillon carriage. The case measures 41 mm across and 10.4 mm high, water-resistant to 30 m, with a transparent sapphire case back.
The self-winding calibre 2160 drives the tourbillon: 31 mm across, 5.65 mm high, 188 parts and 30 jewels, running at 18,000 V.P.H. (2.5 Hz) for a stated 80-hour power reserve -- what the brand's own page separately describes as beyond three days. A 22K gold peripheral rotor winds the movement and, mounted around its edge rather than across its centre, leaves the mechanism visible through the openworked case back. The watch is certified to the Hallmark of Geneva; the brand's own account dates the mark to 1886, when the Republic and Canton of Geneva adopted it as their standard for watches finished to that quality.
