Overview
The lightest stone weight in the collection
Donna carries the lowest carat weight of the ten. Pink and yellow sapphires, diamonds, spessartites and rubies are set across the case and crown, with pink opal and hematite in the dial plate. Richard Mille associates hematite with strength; it anchors three of the ten compositions.
Donna carries 823 stones for 3.88 carats. The strap is tan.
The RM 71-02 Automatic Tourbillon Talisman followed the RM 71-01 in 2020 as a collection of ten models, each in an edition of seven pieces, every one carrying a woman’s name in currency in the 1970s.

Design and engineering
- Calibre CRMT1Automatic winding tourbillon with hours, minutes and a variable-geometry rotor. Skeletonised and tonneau-shaped, it is 6.2 mm thick and weighs 8 grams, beating at 28,800 vph (4 Hz) with 50 hours of power reserve. Richard Mille’s eighth in-house calibre and its first automatic tourbillon, introduced in the RM 71-01 of 2018, with 1,000 hours of development recorded for it.
- Stone compositionpink and yellow sapphires, diamonds, spessartites, rubies, pink opal and hematite, set in geometric motifs over the case and dial.
- Dial plateThe dial plate is 0.9 mm thick and hand-set, with the central decoration specific to this model. Richard Mille records more than six months of work to validate the positioning of the stones across the collection.
- Gem-set rotorBidirectional and gem-set, with variable geometry allowing winding to be matched to the wearer’s activity level.
- Open baseplateThe baseplate protecting the tourbillon’s rotation is left open to preserve transparency through the movement.
- StrapTwo-tone patent leather with a metallic treatment, embossed with plant motifs at 12 o’clock and geometric lines at 6 o’clock. Each of the ten models has its own.
