Richard Mille’s eighth in-house calibre and its first automatic tourbillon, introduced in the RM 71-01 of 2018, with 1,000 hours of development recorded for it.

- Dial plateThe dial plate is 0.9 mm thick and hand-set, with the central decoration specific to this model. Richard Mille records more than six months of work to validate the positioning of the stones across the collection.
- Gem-set rotorBidirectional and gem-set, with variable geometry allowing winding to be matched to the wearer’s activity level.
- Open baseplateThe baseplate protecting the tourbillon’s rotation is left open to preserve transparency through the movement.
