Overview
Unset titanium case
The titanium execution is the RM 67-01 as Richard Mille introduced it: an unset grade 5 titanium case, polished and brushed, with solid metal numerals over the skeletonised movement. The photograph shows it on a white strap.
At 7.75 mm the case is among the slimmest in the collection, and the format demanded a movement built for it — the CRMA6, 3.60 mm thick, developed specifically for this watch.

Design and engineering
- Calibre CRMA6Skeletonised automatic winding movement with hours, minutes, date and function indicator. It measures 29.10 × 31.25 mm with a thickness of 3.60 mm, runs on 25 jewels at 28,800 vph (4 Hz) and provides around 50 hours (± 10%) of power reserve.
- Baseplate and bridgesGrade 5 titanium. The baseplate is microblasted with grey electroplasma treatment, which Richard Mille specifies for rigidity and for the surface flatness the gear train requires; the bridges are microblasted and black electroplasma treated.
- Platinum rotorA platinum rotor on the OneWay® winding system with ceramic ball bearings, which allows the barrel to be wound efficiently while keeping the movement’s compact dimensions. It allows efficient winding from a rotor this thin.
- Fast-rotating barrelOne revolution every five hours instead of seven and a half, which Richard Mille specifies for reduced periodic internal mainspring adhesion and a favourable mainspring delta curve.
- Free-sprung balance with variable inertiaCuBe, four arms and four setting screws, a moment of inertia of 7.5 mg·cm² and an angle of lift of 50°, with an AK3 balance spring and Incabloc 908.22.211.100 shock protection. The regulator index is eliminated in favour of four adjustable weights on the balance.
- Case productionThe extra-flat format demands almost six hours more pure machining than comparable cases in the collection, on top of 68 stamping operations for the bezel, caseband and back bezel. Machine tooling takes eight days of adjustment for the bezel and five each for the caseband and back bezel, preceded by 145 hours developing the methodology, 130 hours on tool drawings and 180 hours on implementation. Each case represents more than 215 separate machining operations, with a further eight hours for hand brushing and polishing, trial assembly, water-resistance testing, disassembly and final quality control.
