Baguette-set platinum case with blue markings

This execution of the RM 67-01 carries baguette-cut diamonds across the bezel, caseband and lugs of a platinum case, with blue Arabic numerals, a blue inner flange, gold hands and a blue crown, on a dark blue leather strap.

Baguette is a cut rather than a level of coverage: it describes the shape of the stones, not how much of the case they occupy. The catalogue holds a second baguette-set RM 67-01 in white gold, distinguished by white numerals on a black flange.

The calibre is unaffected by the setting. The CRMA6 is 3.60 mm thick and was developed specifically for this model, which brought Richard Mille’s tonneau case into extra-flat form at 7.75 mm overall.

• Baseplate and bridgesGrade 5 titanium. The baseplate is microblasted with a grey electroplasma treatment; the bridges are microblasted and black electroplasma treated, which Richard Mille records as a first for the brand.
• Platinum rotorA platinum rotor on the OneWay® winding system with ceramic ball bearings, which allows the barrel to be wound efficiently while keeping the movement’s compact dimensions.
• Fast-rotating barrelOne revolution every five hours instead of seven and a half, which Richard Mille specifies for reduced periodic internal mainspring adhesion and a favourable mainspring delta curve.
• Free-sprung balance with variable inertiaCuBe, four arms and four setting screws, a moment of inertia of 7.5 mg·cm² and an angle of lift of 50°, with an AK3 balance spring and Incabloc 908.22.211.100 shock protection. The regulator index is eliminated in favour of four adjustable weights on the balance.
• Semi-instantaneous date and function indicatorA semi-instantaneous date in a vertical aperture at 5 o’clock, with a hand at 2 o’clock showing the crown’s position: W for winding, D for date setting, H for hand setting.
• NumeralsSolid metal, mounted on two linked and rigid titanium rails attached directly to the movement, giving depth across the openwork dial.
