ATZ white ceramic and red gold with a jasper centre
ATZ is Richard Mille’s designation for white ceramic, hard and matte, holding its colour without the tonal change a plated finish takes on. It forms the bezel and caseback here, with red gold on the crown, the pushers and the inner bezel.
The dial-centre plate is red gold, set around a jasper panel whose red-brown banding runs against the white of the case. The strap is white rubber.

Design and engineering
- ATZ white ceramicDistinct from the TZP designation Richard Mille uses for black and coloured ceramic, and chosen for hardness and scratch resistance.
- Jasper dial centreA natural hardstone panel, cut and set into the centre plate; no two panels carry the same grain.
- Oversize dateSemi-instantaneous, placed horizontally under 12 o’clock, driven by two skeletonised calendar discs over a white field.
- Function selectorA push-button at 4 o’clock selects winding, neutral and hand-setting with a single push; an aperture at 4 o’clock shows W, N or H. A second push-button at 10 o’clock corrects the date.
- Case productionThe tripartite construction is assembled with 20 grade 5 titanium spline screws and abrasion-resistant 316L stainless steel washers, sealed to 50 metres by two Nitrile O-rings.
- Fast-rotating barrelOne revolution in five hours rather than the conventional 7.5, which improves the mainspring’s delta curve.
