White Carbon TPT® case on the Aerodyne dual time zone
The case is White Carbon TPT®, the designation used for Richard Mille cases in which Carbon TPT® is combined with white Quartz TPT®. The two are made by the same process — filaments laid in plies at alternating angles within a matrix, then cured under heat and pressure — Carbon TPT® from carbon fibre and Quartz TPT® from silica thread. It is the silica that carries the white, which is why the pairing is needed to produce a white layered case.
The movement and case architecture are those of the RM 022: a case of 48.00 × 39.70 × 13.85 mm, the calibre RM022 manual-winding tourbillon, circa 70 hours of power reserve, and a second time zone carried on a rotating sapphire disc and read at 3 o’clock.

Design and engineering
- White Carbon TPT®Carbon TPT® and Quartz TPT® are produced by the same layering method but from carbon fibre and silica thread respectively. Machining across the plies exposes the layer structure as banding, and the pattern differs from case to case.
