Overview
First carbon nanofibre movement baseplate
Introduced in 2004, the RM 006 was developed with Felipe Massa to withstand the accelerations and vibration of Formula 1 racing conditions. It is the first watch to use a movement baseplate made of carbon nanofibre, and the complete watch weighs 43 grams.
Following its results, carbon nanofibre was adopted across the Richard Mille tourbillon range. Twenty-five pieces were produced. The case is titanium.
