The Patek Philippe Nautilus, reference 5810/1G-001, in white gold on the white gold bracelet, sunburst blue dial, horizontally embossed, hours and minutes only; a limited edition of 2,000 pieces. Ultra-thin self-winding calibre 240 with its minirotor engraved for the anniversary; 41 mm from 10 to 4 o'clock, 6.9 mm high.
The reference 5810 is the Nautilus made for the collection's 50th anniversary: white gold, case and bracelet, with a sunburst blue dial, horizontally embossed, and nothing on the dial but hours and minutes. Patek Philippe presents it as a revisiting of the design in an ultra-thin case — two-part, 41 mm from 10 to 4 o'clock and 6.9 mm high, with case, bezel and bracelet in contrasting polished and satin finishing, a screw-down crown and a sapphire crystal back — issued, the brand says, in a limited edition of 2,000 pieces.
The movement is the self-winding calibre 240 on its own, without the calendar or moon-phase work the brand adds to it elsewhere: 27.5 mm across and 2.53 mm high, with 152 parts and 27 jewels. Its 22K gold minirotor is set off-centre and recessed into the movement rather than turning above it, which is what lets the complete calibre stay at 2.53 mm and the case at 6.9 mm; on this reference the minirotor is engraved with the anniversary inscription. It runs at 21,600 semi-oscillations an hour on a Gyromax® balance with a Spiromax® balance spring, for a power reserve of at least 48 hours, and carries the Patek Philippe Seal.
