The reference 5712/1R-001 is the Nautilus with date, moon phases, power-reserve indicator and small seconds, in rose gold on a rose gold bracelet, with a sunburst brown dial whose rim shades to black. What Patek Philippe singles out is the layout: the four indications are arranged asymmetrically on the dial rather than around a centre, and the brand presents that as what gives the reference its look. The case is the collection's porthole construction, 40 mm from 10 to 4 o'clock and 8.52 mm high, with case, bezel and bracelet in contrasting polished and satin finishing, a screw-down crown and a sapphire crystal back.
The movement is the self-winding calibre 240 PS IRM C LU, the calibre 240 with its complications, which Patek Philippe calls ultra-thin: 31 mm across and 3.99 mm high, with 252 parts and 29 jewels. It winds through a 22K gold minirotor set off-centre and recessed into the movement rather than a full rotor turning above it, which is what keeps the complete calibre to 3.99 mm.
