The Up/Down takes its name from a function that Lange says has a long tradition. On the dial, a marker labelled AB (DOWN) stands for an unwound movement and one labelled AUF (UP) for a fully wound one. Lange limits this version to 300 pieces.
The movement is calibre L051.2, manually wound, with 245 parts and a reserve of 72 hours; the balance beats at 21,600 semi-oscillations an hour (3.0 Hz). Lange lists one function, the power-reserve indicator. The case is 37.5 mm across and 8.7 mm high, water resistant to 3 bar, with a sapphire glass case back.
